Crafting the Perfect Breakfast

Mornings set the tone for the day, and what better way to energize than with a Vibrant Fruit Breakfast Bowl? This delightful concoction isn’t just a feast for the eyes but a powerhouse of nutrients. Here’s a simple recipe to kickstart your day:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of diced bananas
  • 1/4 cup of granola
  • A drizzle of honey

Instructions:

  1. Spoon the Greek yogurt into a bowl, creating a smooth base.
  2. Artfully arrange the blueberries, strawberries, and mangoes atop the yogurt.
  3. Sprinkle granola over the fruits for that added crunch.
  4. Finish with a gentle drizzle of honey to enhance the natural sweetness.

This bowl isn’t just about taste; it’s a testament to the quality of ingredients. They’re also so adaptable to whatever season it is. In summer, I load up on berries and peaches. In fall I’ll do apples and pears with cinnamon. Winter is all about frozen berries (which are actually picked at peak ripeness!) and bananas. And spring brings strawberries and the first fresh fruits of the year.

Base: 1 frozen banana + 1/2 cup frozen berries + 1/4 cup yogurt + splash of milk (any kind) + optional handful of spinach

Toppings: At least 3 different colored fruits, something crunchy (granola/nuts), something with healthy fats (chia/hemp/coconut)

Blend the base ingredients until smooth but still thick (you should be able to eat it with a spoon not a straw). Pour into a bowl, arrange toppings in sections so all the colors stand out, take obligatory Instagram pic, then mix it all up and enjoy!
